If you have completed your studies as an international student in Canada or have been working full time in Canada for a minimum of one year, the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is the best immigration pathway for you. This means you have settled and developed professional and personal networks in your respective communities, immersed in the Canadian workplace and are most likely to be successful in becoming permanent residents in Canada.
To be eligible, candidates must create their Express Entry profile and meet the minimum requirements for this particular program. Your combined education, work experience, and language proficiency should sum up to a total score that could be drawn by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). You will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) if your Comprehensive Ranking System score is within the cut-off of to be drawn from the pool of eligible candidates.
Your Express Entry profile will only be accepted if you meet the following requirements:
Some conditions will not be considered such as work experience gained for self-employment or while holding a study permit.
To be considered for the skilled work experience, you must have one year full time skilled work experience (or equivalent part-time skilled work experience) which are aligned with the National Occupation Classification (NOC) categories 0 (managerial jobs), A (professional jobs) & B (technical and skilled trades jobs) and were gained within three years of application.
30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
OR
30 hours/week for 12 months at more than one job = 1-year full time (1,560 hours)
You must show that you have performed the duties set out in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC, including all the essential duties listed.
