Professional & Skilled Worker Immigration

Skilled workers are selected as permanent residents broadly based on their education, work experience, language abilities, and other factors. Furthermore, these factors often help them succeed in Canada.

One of the key objectives of Canadian immigration is to embrace skilled newcomers who will contribute to Canada’s emerging economy. If the applicants qualify under the Skilled Worker Immigration program they are eligible to apply for a Canadian permanent residence (PR) visa, permitting the applicant to immigrate to Canada with his or her family.

If you are a skilled worker, you may consider to apply for immigration to Canada either under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

You may select one of the following programs:

• Federal Skilled WorkerProgram (FSWP): This program is for applicants with valid work experience and who plan to reside in any province or territory outside of the province of Quebec.
• Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP): The Federal Skilled Trades Program is for applicants who want to settle in Canada on a permanent basisbased on being qualified in a skilled trade.
• Quebec Skilled Worker (QSW): Interested applicants who plan to immigrate to the province of Quebec may be eligible to submit an application through this program.

• Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs):Most provinces and territories have their own skilled worker programs for those planning to live and work in their particular province or territory. They are also known as the fast-track Canadian immigration programs that letapplicants obtain a provincial nomination certificate. In most cases, a nomination certificate will allow applicants to immigrate more quickly than through other Canadian immigration programs.
