Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) offers three economic immigration programs for people who are interested in coming to Canada permanently. The FSW is one of these immigration programs. It is geared towards individuals who are skilled and possess professional qualifications and who are willing to contribute to Canada’s economy. As of January 1, 2015, IRCC developed an only system which will manage numerous applications received through this program. Qualified applicants under the FSW program are encouraged to express their intention of coming to Canada permanently by simply creating an online Express Entry profile.

Principal Applicant:
Another selection factor that you can take advantage of is being married. In case you are married or living in a marriage like a relationship such as a common-law partner whose education and work experience are higher than yours, you have to decide who among the two of you will apply as the principal applicant. There is a benefit in assigning a skilled principal applicant to achieve a higher CRS score.
A common-law refers to a person who is living in a conjugal relationship with another person (opposite or same sex) and has done so continuously for a period of at least one year.
