There are three Streams under International Student Category::
This category is for students from abroad. The International Students category accepts applications under the following three streams.
International Student Stream provides international students with a job offer the opportunity to permanently live and work in Ontario.
To be eligible to apply under the Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream, the applicant must have a job offer from an eligible Ontario employer that meets the following criteria:

The OINP will not accept applications from international students in their final semester of studies. Applicants must have met all the degree, diploma or certificate requirements at the time of application.
Please note: The applicant and/or family members must not hold or have held equity in the employer’s business unless it was obtained as part of your remuneration as an employee and the total equity held by self and family members is/was less than 10%.
In addition, applicant’s Ontario employer must meet the following criteria:
The Masters Graduate Stream provides international students with Master’s degrees obtained in Ontario an opportunity to live and work permanently in Ontario. This stream enables the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) to nominate individuals who have the required education, language ability, and other requirements to help them successfully establish and integrate into Ontario’s labour market and communities. Applicants do not need a job offer to apply.
To be eligible to apply for the Masters Graduate Stream, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
Students with a return obligation
If the applicant is an international student and have received subsidies, grants or home country scholarships and have return obligations, the applicant cannot apply for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program unless such obligations have been fulfilled.
When the applicant is nominated:
If the application is successful, the applicant will receive a Letter of Nomination along with the OINP Confirmation of Nomination document by mail.
The applicant must submit an application for permanent residence within six months of being nominated by OINP and include copies of the Letter of Nomination and the OINP Confirmation of Nomination document.
The Ph.D. Graduate Stream provides international students with Ph.D. degrees an opportunity to live and work permanently in Ontario. This stream enables the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) to nominate individuals who have the required education and other requirements to help them successfully establish and integrate into Ontario’s labour market and communities. Applicants do not need a job offer to apply.
